Herbal Doula

You’ve always wanted to know more about using herbs during birth and the postpartum.

You may be a doula or birth worker, of a mother wanting to prepare for birth and the postpartum.

This is your chance to dive in.

This is for you if,

  • You feel the call to learn about natural birth using herbs

  • You want gentle, natural solutions to some of the physiological challenges in birth and the postpartum, like supporting labour, postpartum womb care, breast care etc.

  • You’ve been telling your clients to drink nettle tea, and red raspberry leaf in the third trimester and want to know more about preparing the body for birth…

  • You’ve heard about Shepherds Purse to support bleeding during birth but don’t feel confident to use it but want to give your clients the option of having this on hand for your home birth offering.

  • You want to give real and gentle womb care support in the postpartum that goes beyond adult nappies and anusol.

  • You want to honour women’s rite of passage through the Childbearing year with time-honoured, safe to use and effective herbal medicines, in the way women have used since the start of time.

  • You want to feel more confident using herbs and botanical remedies as part of your doula toolkit.

This two part offering covers:

  • using herbs to prepare for birth and during birth - giving women to chance for great births by priming their physiology, emotions and wombs for birth with herbs; using herbs during birth to cover exhaustion, tension and pain, bleeding and more.

A 90 minute session, with time for questions.

  • Support women with time honoured herbal and natural remedies during the postpartum so they feel held and every aspect of their journey is tended to by wise woman knowledge and herbal care.

A 90 minute session, with time for questions.

This two-part series will cover

  • the scenarios above and more

  • an accessible recording for 12 months

  • A PDF with guidance on using herbs for childbearing with full written instructions for use

  • an on-going support Facebook group, where you can explore with a community using herbs for women in this way.

  • access to Rachael Faust clinical herbalist specialising in this area and a chance to ask all your questions.

About Me…

Hey lovely women, my name is Rachael Faust and I am a clinical herbalist, Doctor of Chinese Medicine and constitutional health therapist. I have three children whom I have home birthed and free birthed.

I have used herbs during each of my journeys into motherhood and have supported many women and doulas over the years in using herbs in this context.

I support medical conditions in childbearing, provide nourishing and balancing herbal teas and wellness products and a large part of my practice is focussed on supporting women preparing for birth and the postpartum and providing herbal tinctures and remedies to support them in this area.

Now I want to share my knowledge with you, so that you can use safe, effective and nurturing herbs for yourself and your clients.
